About the Monodiffuse PCB
Monodiffuse is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by elixpo, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 35.8 × 34 mm, with 46 components from 21 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the ARDUINO_UNO_Q, from the AVR/Arduino family. Other key parts include the 74AHC1G32, 74AHC1G08 and 74AHC1G04. By type, the board carries 18 resistors, 11 capacitors, 6 switches, 5 diodes, 4 ICs and 1 transistor.
From the project
Controlled experiments in one-bit diffusion: native binary-weight training, PTQ/QAT ablations, calibrated evaluation, packed checkpoints, and reproducible edge-AI research.
This KiCad project documents the hardware selector used by Diffuino. Four switches present a BCD value to Arduino UNO Q pins D2--D5. A validity network allows the generate button to reach D6 only for decimal values 0--9, and a separate reset button drives D7.
VALID = NOT(BCD3 AND (BCD2 OR BCD1)) D6 = GENERATE_BUTTON AND VALID
BCD0 does not participate in validation because values 10--15 are identified by BCD3 together with either BCD2 or BCD1.

Monodiffuse: common questions
What microcontroller does the Monodiffuse use?
The Monodiffuse is built around the ARDUINO_UNO_Q, from the AVR/Arduino family.
How big is the Monodiffuse PCB?
The Monodiffuse measures 35.8 × 34 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Monodiffuse?
46 components, from 21 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Monodiffuse design files?
From the elixpo/monodiffuse repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Monodiffuse design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which elixpo chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the Monodiffuse without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
