About the Barghest PCB
Barghest is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by ElKinoflop, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 266.7 × 109.5 mm, with 138 components from 13 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the RP2040_Pro_Micro, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. By type, the board carries 60 diodes, 9 switches, 4 capacitors and 1 IC.
It belongs with the keyboards designs in this gallery.
From the project
Stacked acrylic handwired keyboard
Stacked acrylic keyboard case designed for handwiring with a Waveshare RP2040-Tiny. Iterated from P3D Jake's Hydra Invisibolt case which was designed for MechVault's Hydra PCB. Thanks Jake for allowing me to open source this after I took his Hydra case designed and ruined modified it. Thanks Cain at MechVault for the layout inspiration. If you decide to make one of these then consider donating to Jake's coffee fund.

Barghest: common questions
What microcontroller does the Barghest use?
The Barghest is built around the RP2040_Pro_Micro, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.
How big is the Barghest PCB?
The Barghest measures 266.7 × 109.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Barghest?
138 components, from 13 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Barghest design files?
From the ElKinoflop/Barghest repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Barghest design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which ElKinoflop chose for the repository.
Can I test firmware for the Barghest without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
