Keyboard made alongside grant program from hackclub.com

I made this keyboard for few reasons: 1. I wanted to make something more complicated than hackpad 2. I like doing things 3. I need new keyboard badly as mine is randomly doubling characters or holding them down or not registering space 4. I wanted something that i made not that i bought from random seller

Hackclub keyboard: common questions

What microcontroller does the Hackclub keyboard use?

The Hackclub keyboard is built around the Raspberry_Pi_Pico, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the Hackclub keyboard PCB?

The Hackclub keyboard measures 381 × 131 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Hackclub keyboard?

181 components, from 8 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Hackclub keyboard design files?

From the emb3rcia/hackclub-keyboard repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Hackclub keyboard design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with emb3rcia. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Hackclub keyboard without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
