About the Circuit Pulse Count PCB

Circuit Pulse Count is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by EthanSousaProjects, published on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 61 × 54.7 mm, with 5 components from 5 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ARDUINO_NANO_ESP32, from the AVR/Arduino family. Other key parts include the Arduino_Nano_v3.x. By type, the board carries 2 modules, 2 resistors and 1 connector.

From the project

A custom cluster design for my CBR 125RW6 (2006 carb model) to replace the old large mechanical cluster with a smaller simpler design.

The references folder contains details on set things on the bike (eg. hole position dimensions, resistance of stock sensor) and thus design requirements, calculations and decisions can be found here.

There are three licenses for this project. All code falls under the AGPLV3 license, all hardware designs fall under the CERN-OHL-S license, all artwork and documentation in the READMEs related to this project are under the CC By-SA license.

Circuit Pulse Count: common questions

What microcontroller does the Circuit Pulse Count use?

The Circuit Pulse Count is built around the ARDUINO_NANO_ESP32, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the Circuit Pulse Count PCB?

The Circuit Pulse Count measures 61 × 54.7 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Circuit Pulse Count?

5 components, from 5 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Circuit Pulse Count design files?

From the EthanSousaProjects/CBR_Custom_Cluster repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Circuit Pulse Count design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its GPL-3.0 license, which EthanSousaProjects chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Circuit Pulse Count without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
