State machine: IDLE -> SEARCHING -> AWAITINGCONFIRM -> APPROACHING -> WARNING -> EXTINGUISHING -> COMPLETE -> IDLE`.
firebotmega.ino takes plain-English commands at 115200 baud when the Pi isn't plugged in. Type help in the Serial Monitor. Missing hardware is tolerated -- disabled sensors show off`, unwired outputs just toggle into the void.

FireBot696: common questions
What microcontroller does the FireBot696 use?
The FireBot696 is built around the Arduino_Mega2560_R3_Shield, from the AVR/Arduino family.
How many components are on the FireBot696?
27 components, from 23 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the FireBot696 design files?
From the evansfsu/FireBot696 repository on GitHub, which has the schematic and a netlist; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the FireBot696 design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with evansfsu. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the FireBot696 without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
