About the Project PCB

Project is an open source PCB design by fadushin, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 34.6 × 30.4 mm, with 13 components from 10 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the AZ1117. By type, the board carries 6 connectors, 3 capacitors, 1 IC, 1 transistor, 1 diode and 1 resistor.

It belongs with the dev boards & breakouts and usb & debug tools designs in this gallery.

From the project

A collection of Kicad5 sketches to build modular ESP32 applications.

This repository contains Kicad5 and other files for building modular boards for ESP32 applications.

I often find that typical development boards for the ESP32 (such as the popular Espressif ESP32 DevkitC) are great for development purposes, but sometimes less than optimal for deployment in the field. Not only are they more expensive than they need to be, but they also contain components, such as a micro USB adapter, UART logic, and 5v voltage regulators that are not needed for 3.3v deployments (e.g., when powered off a 3.3v LiFePo4 battery) and may even detract from the power efficiency of…

Project: common questions

How big is the Project PCB?

The Project measures 34.6 × 30.4 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Project?

13 components, from 10 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Project design files?

From the fadushin/esp32-shield repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Project design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with fadushin. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
