About the Esp32-wroom shield
Esp32-wroom shield is an open source ESP32 PCB design by fadushin, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 34.6 × 30.3 mm, with 15 components from 10 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the ESP32-WROOM-32, from the ESP32 family. By type, the board carries 4 capacitors, 4 resistors, 2 connectors, 2 switches, 2 diodes and 1 IC.
It belongs with the dev boards & breakouts and usb & debug tools designs in this gallery.

A collection of Kicad5 sketches to build modular ESP32 applications.
This repository contains Kicad5 and other files for building modular boards for ESP32 applications.
I often find that typical development boards for the ESP32 (such as the popular Espressif ESP32 DevkitC) are great for development purposes, but sometimes less than optimal for deployment in the field. Not only are they more expensive than they need to be, but they also contain components, such as a micro USB adapter, UART logic, and 5v voltage regulators that are not needed for 3.3v deployments (e.g., when powered off a 3.3v LiFePo4 battery) and may even detract from the power efficiency of…

Esp32-wroom shield: common questions
What microcontroller does the Esp32-wroom shield use?
The Esp32-wroom shield is built around the ESP32-WROOM-32, from the ESP32 family.
How big is the Esp32-wroom shield?
The Esp32-wroom shield measures 34.6 × 30.3 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Esp32-wroom shield?
15 components, from 10 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Esp32-wroom shield design files?
From the fadushin/esp32-shield repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Esp32-wroom shield design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with fadushin. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the Esp32-wroom shield without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
