About the Sample Numeric Keyboard PCB
Sample Numeric Keyboard is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by famichu, published on GitHub under the CC-BY-NC-4.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 82 × 120 mm, with 62 components from 12 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the ATmega328-AU, from the AVR/Arduino family. Other key parts include the SeeeduinoXIAO and MagLevSwitch. By type, the board carries 20 ICs, 18 diodes, 15 resistors, 5 transistors, 1 connector and 1 capacitor.
It belongs with the sensors and keyboards designs in this gallery.
From the project
The 3D printable magnetic levitation contactless switch with the linear output hall effect sensor.
When the axis is pushed, the magnetism will cancel each other out, which causes the magnetism detected by hall effect sensor to become zero. This is how this switch works. This method made the switch smaller, allowing it to have the same shape as existing switches.

Sample Numeric Keyboard: common questions
What microcontroller does the Sample Numeric Keyboard use?
The Sample Numeric Keyboard is built around the ATmega328-AU, from the AVR/Arduino family.
How big is the Sample Numeric Keyboard PCB?
The Sample Numeric Keyboard measures 82 × 120 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Sample Numeric Keyboard?
62 components, from 12 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Sample Numeric Keyboard design files?
From the famichu/MagLev_Switch_MX repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Sample Numeric Keyboard design in my own project?
It is published under CC-BY-NC-4.0, which limits how it may be reused; read the license before building on it.
Can I test firmware for the Sample Numeric Keyboard without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
