Inspired by old school romance compaitbility tests (based on names) I built a old-school style, hand-held console like hardware with Arduino 32 as the display to match the player to their soulmate (from the cast of the 2026 FIFA world cup players trending all over social media). With a series of personality questions the user will be matched to their perfect partner from the world cup, and be able to navigate and reset through answer choices with the buttons.

Fifa-World-Cup-Romance-Test: common questions

What microcontroller does the Fifa-World-Cup-Romance-Test use?

The Fifa-World-Cup-Romance-Test is built around the Arduino_Nano_ESP32, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the Fifa-World-Cup-Romance-Test PCB?

The Fifa-World-Cup-Romance-Test measures 40 × 37.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Fifa-World-Cup-Romance-Test?

6 components, from 6 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Fifa-World-Cup-Romance-Test design files?

From the fanglin0/Fifa-World-Cup-Romance-Test repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Fifa-World-Cup-Romance-Test design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with fanglin0. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Fifa-World-Cup-Romance-Test without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
