About the Kicad pcb ioexpander

Kicad pcb ioexpander is an open source PCB design by fanningert, published on GitHub. It is a 4-layer board measuring 18.3 × 25.9 mm, with 35 components from 4 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the PCA9685PW,118. By type, the board carries 24 connectors, 9 resistors, 1 IC and 1 capacitor.

It belongs with the dev boards & breakouts designs in this gallery.

From the project

PCBto extend IO ports via I²C. Changes are only made on my private Git-Server and are pushed to GitHub. Issues on Github are wellcome.

Core goal is a pcb with the same pin outs, but with different i²C IO Expander. Castellated holes with secondary pin header holes are added, for direct PCB soldering. Secondary pin header holes are placed in a matrix of 2,54 mm (100 mils). Because of the fixed pin layout of the pcb, I created the boards in a four layer design.
