About the Wavegen PCB
Wavegen is an open source PCB design by Fifty-Nine, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-1.2 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 50.8 × 50.8 mm, with 49 components from 26 distinct parts.
Other key parts include the 497-1242-1, 93LC46BT-I/OT, AD9837BCPZ-RL7 and 768-1024-1. By type, the board carries 23 capacitors, 10 resistors, 4 ICs, 4 connectors, 3 diodes and 2 crystals.
From the project
Open source implementation of a USB-controlled function generator
This is an implementation of a USB-controlled Analog Devices AD9837-based function generator that can generate sine, triangle and square waves up to around 200 kHz or so, 1 MHz if the output filtering capacitor is removed (although the quantization of the ADC starts to become apparent around 500 kHz).

Wavegen: common questions
How big is the Wavegen PCB?
The Wavegen measures 50.8 × 50.8 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Wavegen?
49 components, from 26 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Wavegen design files?
From the Fifty-Nine/wavegen repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Wavegen design in my own project?
Yes, under the terms of its CERN-OHL-1.2 license, which Fifty-Nine chose for the repository.
