About the Stm32 calc PCB
Stm32 calc is an open source STM32 PCB design by georgsnarbuts, published on GitHub under the CC-BY-NC-4.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 76.2 × 132.3 mm, with 53 components from 22 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the STM32F072CBT6, from the STM32 family. Other key parts include the TM1638, USBLC6-2SC6 and XC6206P332MR. By type, the board carries 19 diodes, 16 capacitors, 10 resistors, 4 ICs, 2 switches and 1 transistor.
It belongs with the keyboards designs in this gallery.
From the project
A mechanical-key calculator that also works as a numpad, designed and sold as a kit.
A mechanical-key calculator that also works as a numpad, designed and sold as a kit.
It runs standalone off a single AA cell as an eight-digit calculator. Plug it into USB-C and it enumerates as a keyboard instead, working as a numpad or macropad with every key remappable through VIA. The firmware watches VBUS to decide which of the two it should be.
firmware/ is a QMK keyboard definition, not a standalone project. Drop it into a QMK checkout before building:

Stm32 calc: common questions
What microcontroller does the Stm32 calc use?
The Stm32 calc is built around the STM32F072CBT6, from the STM32 family.
How big is the Stm32 calc PCB?
The Stm32 calc measures 76.2 × 132.3 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Stm32 calc?
53 components, from 22 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Stm32 calc design files?
From the georgsnarbuts/kalkulators repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Stm32 calc design in my own project?
It is published under CC-BY-NC-4.0, which limits how it may be reused; read the license before building on it.
Can I test firmware for the Stm32 calc without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
