Bing Bong - Digital phase modulation/physical modeling drum module for Eurorack synthesizers
[](https://github.com/GlobalSequence/bing-bong/blob/master/photo.png)
Bing Bong is a digital drum synthesizer module for Eurorack synthesizers which generates percussive sounds using two different synthesis methods:
- Phase modulation synthesis - Physical modeling synthesis
This module is intended to offer a versatile array of sounds ranging anywhere from organic substrates to purely synthesized tones. With a wide frequency range, it can fill many roles in an electronic drum kit. Both atonal and tonal sounds can be produced, ranging anywhere from quick transient bursts to long sustained…

Bing bong pcb audio: common questions
What microcontroller does the Bing bong pcb audio use?
The Bing bong pcb audio is built around the SeeeduinoXIAO RA4M1, from the Renesas family.
How big is the Bing bong pcb audio?
The Bing bong pcb audio measures 40.3 × 108 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Bing bong pcb audio?
55 components, from 21 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Bing bong pcb audio design files?
From the GlobalSequence/bing-bong repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Bing bong pcb audio design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with GlobalSequence. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the Bing bong pcb audio without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug Renesas firmware against it before you order a PCB.
