Repository of the Prosper III Environment Monitor project ☀️🌱

This repository contains the source code accompanying my master's thesis "Entwicklung einer digitalen Lösung zur Unterstützung von Tactical Urbanism auf Prosper III" (Development of a Digital Solution to Support Tactical Urbanism on Prosper III) at Hochschule Ruhr West. It includes hardware designs and embedded software for LoRaWAN-based sensor nodes to collect microclimate and irrigation data, as well as a web application and infrastructure to manage sensor nodes and view data.

The KiCad project lives in the henriheimann/prosper3-monitor repository on GitHub; these links point at the commit this page was built from.

Irrgiation sensor rev4-3: common questions

What microcontroller does the Irrgiation sensor rev4-3 use?

The Irrgiation sensor rev4-3 is built around the STM32L412KB, from the STM32 family.

How big is the Irrgiation sensor rev4-3 PCB?

The Irrgiation sensor rev4-3 measures 180 × 38 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Irrgiation sensor rev4-3?

35 components, from 24 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Irrgiation sensor rev4-3 design files?

From the henriheimann/prosper3-monitor repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Irrgiation sensor rev4-3 design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with henriheimann. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Irrgiation sensor rev4-3 without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
