About the Anger-Speaker-Recognition-ESP32 PCB

Anger-Speaker-Recognition-ESP32 is an open source ESP32 PCB design by HugoMitre, published on GitHub. It is a board, with 3 components from 3 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1, from the ESP32 family.

It belongs with the audio designs in this gallery.

From the project

This repository contains the full training, evaluation and conversion code for a **compact hybrid framework** that simultaneously extracts affective and identity-related cues from a single Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficient (MFCC) front-end.

Traditional voice-based emotion recognition systems run on computers or mobile devices, raising deployment cost and discarding speaker identity — limitations that prevent their adoption in the resource-constrained households where early-warning monitoring would be most beneficial. This repository contains the full training, evaluation, quantization, profiling and field-validation code for a compact hybrid framework that simultaneously extracts affective and identity-related cues from a single Mel-Frequency Cepstral Coefficient (MFCC) front-end.

Anger-Speaker-Recognition-ESP32: common questions

What microcontroller does the Anger-Speaker-Recognition-ESP32 use?

The Anger-Speaker-Recognition-ESP32 is built around the ESP32-S3-WROOM-1, from the ESP32 family.

How many components are on the Anger-Speaker-Recognition-ESP32?

3 components, from 3 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Anger-Speaker-Recognition-ESP32 design files?

From the HugoMitre/Anger-Speaker-Recognition-ESP32 repository on GitHub, which has the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Anger-Speaker-Recognition-ESP32 design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with HugoMitre. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Anger-Speaker-Recognition-ESP32 without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
