From the project

A complete open-source FPV drone platform featuring a custom STM32F411 flight controller, STM32F405 ESC & power distribution board, KiCad PCB designs, embedded firmware, and 3D-printable airframe. Includes manufacturing files, documentation, and support for Betaflight, INAV, ArduPilot, and AM32.

This repository contains a complete open-source FPV drone platform built around custom STM32-based electronics. Rather than publishing only a flight controller or ESC, this project provides the entire avionics stack, firmware, and mechanical design required to build a fully functional drone.

The project includes two custom-designed PCBs:

- STM32F411 Flight Controller - STM32F405 Power Distribution & ESC Board

ESC Board: common questions

What microcontroller does the ESC Board use?

The ESC Board is built around the W25Q16JVSSIQ, from the STM32 family.

How big is the ESC Board?

The ESC Board measures 48.8 × 53.1 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the ESC Board?

70 components, from 47 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the ESC Board design files?

From the IoT-App-Development-Company/DroneControllerUsing-STM32 repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the ESC Board design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with IoT-App-Development-Company. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the ESC Board without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
