A keyboard made for personal use and sounds good, as I dont have a keyboard. 65% for optimal usability.

1. Pasting socket foam Pasting socket foam is difficult and cannot be redone. There are two methods: one is to paste the entire surface and the other is to paste only a portion of the surface.

Practice First, practice several times without peeling off the release paper on the adhesive surface. Place the socket foam on a flat surface with the adhesive surface facing up. Straighten any bent or floating parts. Hold the four corners with the back side (part mounting surface) of the main PCB facing down. Look at the main PCB from directly above, align the notch of the mount post with the main…

Lunar65: common questions

What microcontroller does the Lunar65 use?

The Lunar65 is built around the ATMEGA32U4-MUR, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the Lunar65 PCB?

The Lunar65 measures 303.8 × 94.2 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Lunar65?

152 components, from 21 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Lunar65 design files?

From the ItzZeNash/Lunar65 repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Lunar65 design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with ItzZeNash. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Lunar65 without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
