About the Rev1.0 PCB

Rev1.0 is an open source PCB design by Iver-Iscariot, published on GitHub. It is a 4-layer board measuring 40.6 × 15.9 mm, with 17 components from 8 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the 74HC595 and 74HC165. By type, the board carries 6 resistors, 3 ICs, 3 connectors, 3 capacitors and 1 switch.

From the project

A stackable/expandable design for a clock to show the local-time of the members of my club in different timezones

Originally designed for use in Omega Verksted, as several members exchanged to different timezones.

The modules are chained together with one MCU at the end. The timezone for each module is set using the dip switch, and read to the MCU by shift registers. The corresponding numbers for 7-seg displays are then sent out on further registers. The dip-switch also instructs weather its the last in the chain, and if its supposed to show the minutes or the hours of the zone. The clock is design to be installed in two rows, one for hours and one for minutes

Rev1.0: common questions

How big is the Rev1.0 PCB?

The Rev1.0 measures 40.6 × 15.9 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Rev1.0?

17 components, from 8 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Rev1.0 design files?

From the Iver-Iscariot/timezone-shiftregister-clock repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Rev1.0 design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Iver-Iscariot. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
