About the Static-Speaker PCB

Static-Speaker is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by Jacube1234, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 73.2 × 39 mm, with 21 components from 13 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the XIAO-RP2040-DIP, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. Other key parts include the RDA5807MRRD-102V2.0, TDA2822NBD and M18. By type, the board carries 6 resistors, 5 capacitors, 4 ICs, 3 connectors and 1 switch.

It belongs with the audio and rf & radio designs in this gallery.

From the project

Custom radio combined with a speaker.

This is my custom radio combined with a speaker designed for the YSWS Static I chose this project to upgrade the standard kit by integrating an M18 Bluetooth module alongside the original RDA5807 FM radio chip, transforming it into a permanent Bluetooth speaker for my bedroom while keeping the physical over-the-air FM radio chip!

There's 3 main folders: Firmware, PCB, and Production. The PCB folder contains .kicadpcb, .kicadpro, and .kicad_sch. The Firmware folder contains files for the Seeed Xiao code. The production folder will have files for the PCB printing.

Static-Speaker: common questions

What microcontroller does the Static-Speaker use?

The Static-Speaker is built around the XIAO-RP2040-DIP, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the Static-Speaker PCB?

The Static-Speaker measures 73.2 × 39 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Static-Speaker?

21 components, from 13 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Static-Speaker design files?

From the Jacube1234/Static-Speaker repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Static-Speaker design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Jacube1234. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Static-Speaker without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
