From the project

Test board for Mazzy project

A small KiCad PCB for probing and mapping the factory wiring harness of a Mazda vehicle using a Metra 70-7903 pigtail adapter.

The board plugs into the factory harness via Metra 70-7903 pigtail (the one we ordered, 24-pin + 16-pin connectors) and provides:

- 40 through-hole solder/probe pads (TP1–TP24 for the 24-pin side, TP25–TP40 for the 16-pin side) — one pad per Metra pigtail wire, labeled with known wire color/function or UNKNOWN for unidentified signals. These pads are intended to be soldered to the pigtail wires, not mated as removable connectors. - SN65HVD230 CAN transceiver on…

Mazzy mini: common questions

What microcontroller does the Mazzy mini use?

The Mazzy mini is built around the PICO GP4/GP5 CAN, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the Mazzy mini PCB?

The Mazzy mini measures 52 × 57.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Mazzy mini?

71 components, from 69 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Mazzy mini design files?

From the jaspermayone/mazzy-mini repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Mazzy mini design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with jaspermayone. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Mazzy mini without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
