About the Keyboard stm32 PCB

Keyboard stm32 is an open source STM32 PCB design by Jonkaphi, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 4-layer board measuring 168.3 × 125.7 mm, with 141 components from 30 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the STM32F072C8Tx, from the STM32 family. Other key parts include the TS02-66-80-BK-160-LCR-D, TPA6102A2DGKR, MIC5504-3.3YM5-TR and USBLC6-2SC6. By type, the board carries 37 diodes, 33 capacitors, 32 switches, 24 resistors, 6 ICs and 3 connectors.

It belongs with the keyboards and audio designs in this gallery.

The extra little feature of having audio fx being played locally on the keyboard with each button press, was from one of the commenters on reddit related to a post. The sound files will be read from the placed SD card. Currently the audio that can be played is from 8 to 16 kHz kH

The sound files will be read from the placed SD card. Currently the audio that can be played is from 8 to 16 kHz kHz sample rate with 16 bit signed PCM.

The lower level sd card interface for the file system used in the project was made by Khaled Magdy in their post on

Keyboard stm32: common questions

What microcontroller does the Keyboard stm32 use?

The Keyboard stm32 is built around the STM32F072C8Tx, from the STM32 family.

How big is the Keyboard stm32 PCB?

The Keyboard stm32 measures 168.3 × 125.7 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Keyboard stm32?

141 components, from 30 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Keyboard stm32 design files?

From the Jonkaphi/Numerical-Keypad-with-Audio-FX repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Keyboard stm32 design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which Jonkaphi chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Keyboard stm32 without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
