Test board using STM32MP135

A minimum working example of STM32MP135-based board, breaking out almost all the pins.

Find the KiCad files under kicad/. This includes the BOM and position files as used to fabricate the board with JLCPCB. For quick reference, check out the schematics.pdf.

The pin assignment was done using STM32CubeMX. Reluctantly, since it's one of those bloated modern programs that manage to run slowly even on the fastest computers available. But it does generate a nice overview of the pin assignment.

Stm32mp135 test board: common questions

What microcontroller does the Stm32mp135 test board use?

The Stm32mp135 test board is built around the STM32MP135FAEX, from the STM32 family.

How big is the Stm32mp135 test board?

The Stm32mp135 test board measures 100 × 100 mm, has 6 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Stm32mp135 test board?

193 components, from 53 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Stm32mp135 test board design files?

From the js216/stm32mp135_test_board repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Stm32mp135 test board design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with js216. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Stm32mp135 test board without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
