From the project
USB audio and SF2 MIDI synthesizer sound card
This project only use a CODEC, a QuadSPI NOR-flash and a STM32F7 microcontroller to provide a complete MIDI + audio USB soundcard.
Continuation of https://github.com/julbouln/stm32f7discoverymidisynth prototype. It now uses a memory and computing optimized version of https://github.com/schellingb/TinySoundFont and includes STM32 cubemx source code. A dedicated custom board is also provided even though STM32F746 discovery board is supported by the firmware.

Musicboard: common questions
What microcontroller does the Musicboard use?
The Musicboard is built around the STM32F745VETx, from the STM32 family.
How big is the Musicboard PCB?
The Musicboard measures 67.1 × 56.9 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Musicboard?
74 components, from 30 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Musicboard design files?
From the julbouln/musicboard repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Musicboard design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with julbouln. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the Musicboard without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
