About the Custom-Keyboard PCB
Custom-Keyboard is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by Jules9489, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 342.9 × 111.9 mm, with 140 components from 7 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the RaspberryPi_Pico, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. By type, the board carries 72 switches, 67 diodes and 1 module.
It belongs with the keyboards designs in this gallery.
From the project
A nice-looking 65% keyboard that has a rotary encoder for media controls.

It took me a while to make because I ran into different problems along the way, but I managed to fix them eventually. I learned a bit of RMK and a bit more about PCB design, as I had previously made a MacroPad using QMK but had a few flaws, and so I was able to learn from my previous mistakes to make this project better. I built this because I was going to buy a keyboard for my laptop, but then I saw this competition and decided to do it myself.

Custom-Keyboard: common questions
What microcontroller does the Custom-Keyboard use?
The Custom-Keyboard is built around the RaspberryPi_Pico, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.
How big is the Custom-Keyboard PCB?
The Custom-Keyboard measures 342.9 × 111.9 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Custom-Keyboard?
140 components, from 7 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Custom-Keyboard design files?
From the Jules9489/Custom-Keyboard repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Custom-Keyboard design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Jules9489. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the Custom-Keyboard without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
