About the GPIO CTRL PCB

GPIO CTRL is an open source STM32 PCB design by k16shikano, published on GitHub. It is a 4-layer board measuring 70 × 140 mm, with 37 components from 20 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the STM32F401RCT6, from the STM32 family. Other key parts include the LM1117T-3.3, DIR9001PW and MAX809STRG (2.93V). By type, the board carries 19 capacitors, 7 resistors, 6 connectors, 4 ICs and 1 inductor.

From the project

信号層は F.Cu / In2.Cu / In3.Cu / B.Cu、In1.Cu と In4.Cu が GND ベタ(ラダー下は抜き)。

GPIO CTRL: common questions

What microcontroller does the GPIO CTRL use?

The GPIO CTRL is built around the STM32F401RCT6, from the STM32 family.

How big is the GPIO CTRL PCB?

The GPIO CTRL measures 70 × 140 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the GPIO CTRL?

37 components, from 20 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the GPIO CTRL design files?

From the k16shikano/r2r-dac repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the GPIO CTRL design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with k16shikano. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the GPIO CTRL without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug STM32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
