About the Third-Eye PCB
Third-Eye is an open source ESP32 PCB design by Kaavya-Sharma21, published on GitHub. It is a board, with 4 components from 4 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the ESP32 (Squad pixel ESP-WROOM-32), from the ESP32 family. By type, the board carries 1 IC, 1 connector, 1 buzzer and 1 diode.
It belongs with the audio, iot & wireless and wearables designs in this gallery.
From the project
ESP32-based wearable assistive device that detects stairs and obstacles for visually impaired users using ultrasonic sensing and haptic/audio feedback. Built with Arduino (C++) and KiCad.
Third Eye is an ESP32-powered wearable device designed to enhance the safety and independence of visually impaired individuals. Using an ultrasonic sensor, it continuously monitors the environment and alerts the user through vibration and buzzer feedback when a stair drop or obstacle is detected.
This project covers the full hardware-to-firmware stack — from schematic design in KiCad to embedded C++ firmware running on the ESP32.

Third-Eye: common questions
What microcontroller does the Third-Eye use?
The Third-Eye is built around the ESP32 (Squad pixel ESP-WROOM-32), from the ESP32 family.
How many components are on the Third-Eye?
4 components, from 4 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Third-Eye design files?
From the Kaavya-Sharma21/Third-Eye repository on GitHub, which has the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Third-Eye design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Kaavya-Sharma21. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the Third-Eye without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
