About the Calcwriter pins PCB

Calcwriter pins is an open source PCB design by kaemori, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 72 × 88.3 mm, with 20 components from 5 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the 0965-0-15-20-80-14-11-0. By type, the board carries 8 modules and 1 connector.

It belongs with the science & space designs in this gallery.

An external board that emulates inputs to the keypad matrix of a Sharp EL-W531S II Scientific Calculator.

A hardware board that emulates keypresses on the keypad matrix of a Sharp EL-W531S II calculator.

So uh, once upon a bus ride home, I had a brain blast — a year before, I made math equations that mimicked computer logic ops like AND, OR, NOT, etc. Then I got spicy and added stuff like SIGN, TOBOOL, and EQUALSTO. I even hacked together if statements and pseudo-loops! but... I couldn’t store variables (tragic).
