About the Awreflow3 PCB

Awreflow3 is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by kelogs, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 100 × 100 mm, with 49 components from 32 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ATMEGA88-20AU, from the AVR/Arduino family. Other key parts include the L78L33ACZ, NOKIA5110, OPTO-TRANSISTOR, MOC3020M and MAX31855KASA. By type, the board carries 17 resistors, 10 capacitors, 7 ICs, 5 connectors, 2 transistors and 2 diodes.

From the project

Andy's Workshop reflow oven (awreflow2)

awreflow3 is a reflow oven for soldering PCBs based on Andy's Workshop awreflow2. Technically, this repository contains the missing electric diagram and a layout for the oven, with some modifications in order to suit the parts I had lying around. The purpose of this repository is that you can also pull the files and modify them according to your needs.

Awreflow3: common questions

What microcontroller does the Awreflow3 use?

The Awreflow3 is built around the ATMEGA88-20AU, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the Awreflow3 PCB?

The Awreflow3 measures 100 × 100 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Awreflow3?

49 components, from 32 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Awreflow3 design files?

From the kelogs/awreflow3 repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Awreflow3 design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which kelogs chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Awreflow3 without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
