This system consists of two distinct circuit boards:
lta-logic-module - The "logic" that determines when it's dark out / should be active, what messages to light up on the sign, manages PWM or other effects when displaying the sign, and also handles button inputs from users. Runs on a combination of 5V and 3V3. This is designed around a port for installing an Adafruit Feather M4 Express (ATSAMD51 / Cortex-M4) Arduino…

Lta logic module: common questions
What microcontroller does the Lta logic module use?
The Lta logic module is built around the FEATHER_M4_EXPRESS, from the AVR/Arduino family.
How big is the Lta logic module?
The Lta logic module measures 125 × 89.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Lta logic module?
79 components, from 31 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Lta logic module design files?
From the kimballa/like-the-art-pcb repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Lta logic module design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with kimballa. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the Lta logic module without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
