About the No fi delay PCB

No fi delay is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by Krakenpine, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 99.5 × 199.5 mm, with 80 components from 37 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the Arduino_Nano_v3.x, from the AVR/Arduino family. Other key parts include the TL074 and TL072. By type, the board carries 34 resistors, 15 diodes, 11 capacitors, 7 connectors, 3 ICs and 3 switches.

It belongs with the audio designs in this gallery.

Synth modules?

Very low fidelity delay module in Kosmo format. Uses Arduino Nano 328P version with 2 kB ram. Install Mozzi library in Arduino IDE to use this. Files in KiCad format with schematic as pdf. Jack pcb and main pcb are connected with a 10 pin flat cable, like the one powering eurorack/kosmo modules. Don't accidentally connect power to that connector, otherwise this should be quite straightforward if you have build anything previously.

No fi delay: common questions

What microcontroller does the No fi delay use?

The No fi delay is built around the Arduino_Nano_v3.x, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the No fi delay PCB?

The No fi delay measures 99.5 × 199.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the No fi delay?

80 components, from 37 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the No fi delay design files?

From the Krakenpine/krakenpine-synthing repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the No fi delay design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Krakenpine. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the No fi delay without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
