About the Blare Alarm v1 PCB

Blare Alarm v1 is an open source ESP32 PCB design by kumarishan0825, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 117.5 × 92 mm, with 7 components from 4 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the XIAO-ESP32-C3-SMD, from the ESP32 family. By type, the board carries 4 switches, 1 IC, 1 connector and 1 buzzer.

It belongs with the keyboards designs in this gallery.

From the project

ESP32-C3 hardware design for Blare Alarm. Cleaned custom footprint paths using relative linking to fix review errors. Separated active source code from production assets. Contains 3D CAD models, Arduino firmware, KiCad design files, and a single gerbers.zip archive ready for manufacturing. Shielded from local backup files via .gitignore.

Welcome to the complete repository for the Blare Alarm project. This project a fully custom hardware layout driven by an ESP32-C3 microcontroller, custom enclosure CAD models, and production-ready manufacturing files.

Blare Alarm v1: common questions

What microcontroller does the Blare Alarm v1 use?

The Blare Alarm v1 is built around the XIAO-ESP32-C3-SMD, from the ESP32 family.

How big is the Blare Alarm v1 PCB?

The Blare Alarm v1 measures 117.5 × 92 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Blare Alarm v1?

7 components, from 4 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Blare Alarm v1 design files?

From the kumarishan0825/Blare_Alarm_v1 repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Blare Alarm v1 design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which kumarishan0825 chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Blare Alarm v1 without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
