About the Custom wireless mouse PCB

Custom wireless mouse is an open source Nordic nRF PCB design by limmjacc, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 48 × 64 mm, with 34 components from 21 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the nRF52810-QCAA-T, from the Nordic nRF family. Other key parts include the PMW3610DM-SUDU and TLV61220DBVT. By type, the board carries 16 capacitors, 5 switches, 3 ICs, 3 resistors, 2 connectors and 1 transistor.

It belongs with the iot & wireless designs in this gallery.

From the project

Project to track the hardware and firmware for a custom made computer mouse.

KiCad 10 project for the custom wireless mouse PCB. Fully self-contained and portable: every symbol, footprint, and 3D model the schematic depends on is vendored inside this folder and referenced through ${KIPRJMOD}-relative paths — nothing depends on KiCad's global library tables or an internet connection to open and edit. See docs/hardware/schematic.md for how the schematic itself is organized.

Custom wireless mouse: common questions

What microcontroller does the Custom wireless mouse use?

The Custom wireless mouse is built around the nRF52810-QCAA-T, from the Nordic nRF family.

How big is the Custom wireless mouse PCB?

The Custom wireless mouse measures 48 × 64 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Custom wireless mouse?

34 components, from 21 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Custom wireless mouse design files?

From the limmjacc/custom-wireless-mouse repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Custom wireless mouse design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with limmjacc. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Custom wireless mouse without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug Nordic nRF firmware against it before you order a PCB.
