About the Pacpad PCB

Pacpad is an open source PCB design by lxsh-S, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 68 × 65 mm, with 8 components from 4 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the MOUDLE-SEEEDUINO-XIAO and ER_OLEDM0.91_1x-I2C. By type, the board carries 4 switches, 2 ICs and 2 diodes.

It belongs with the keyboards and displays & leds designs in this gallery.

Learning to make my own macropad

This pcb and the schematics were made in Kicad(it was my first time using it!)

- I first went through the default design that the hackpad kit's tutorial shows us - Then I built on top of it and added another key, LEDs, OLED display and also a rotatory encoder - I had to reroute the pcb way too many times cuz I was bring in major changes with each design change - I didnt use matrix for the keys because we are only using 4 keys and ill be using up 4 GPIO pins anyway in the matrix

Pacpad: common questions

How big is the Pacpad PCB?

The Pacpad measures 68 × 65 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Pacpad?

8 components, from 4 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Pacpad design files?

From the lxsh-S/Pacpad repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Pacpad design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with lxsh-S. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
