About the Mark duino PCB

Mark duino is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by MarkFromSales, published on GitHub under the Unlicense license. It is a 4-layer board measuring 111.8 × 61 mm, with 41 components from 29 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the ATmega328P, from the AVR/Arduino family. Other key parts include the MCP3008. By type, the board carries 9 connectors, 5 diodes, 5 capacitors, 5 resistors, 2 ICs and 1 crystal.

From the project

Playing around with my own Arduino build, purely academic really

The screw terminals drive the overall price of the project fairly high if you don't already have these on hand. Substitute them out with a regular 2.54mm pin header or socket strips to cut cost if desired.

Mark duino: common questions

What microcontroller does the Mark duino use?

The Mark duino is built around the ATmega328P, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the Mark duino PCB?

The Mark duino measures 111.8 × 61 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Mark duino?

41 components, from 29 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Mark duino design files?

From the MarkFromSales/Mark-duino repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Mark duino design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its Unlicense license, which MarkFromSales chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Mark duino without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
