About the PowerCB PCB

PowerCB is an open source PCB design by MartinWeigel, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 54 × 17.1 mm, with 16 components from 7 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the TPS73633DBV and USB-C-Power. By type, the board carries 6 capacitors, 4 connectors, 3 resistors, 2 ICs and 1 diode.

It belongs with the dev boards & breakouts designs in this gallery.

From the project

Power a breadboard with 3.3V over USB

PowerCB is a small PCB to power a breadboard with 3.3V. It has a small footprint to avoid blocking pins on the breadboard. The measurements fit an ELEGOO breadboard, but should work with other brands as well. It can be either used on the side of the breadboard to power one side only or in the middle to bridge all power lines. The board can be powered through USB-C or the two mounting holes, e.g. by connecting it to a power supply. It is based on a TPS73633 low-dropout (LDO) linear voltage regulator. The optional 0805-capacitor pads can be used for additional bypass capacitors.

PowerCB: common questions

How big is the PowerCB PCB?

The PowerCB measures 54 × 17.1 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the PowerCB?

16 components, from 7 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the PowerCB design files?

From the MartinWeigel/PowerCB repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the PowerCB design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with MartinWeigel. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
