About the Macropad PCB
Macropad is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by MehmetTncr0, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 77.5 × 90 mm, with 15 components from 4 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the RaspberryPi_Pico, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. By type, the board carries 13 switches, 1 module and 1 connector.
It belongs with the displays & leds and keyboards designs in this gallery.
From the project
A compact, USB-HID macro pad featuring mechanical key switches, a rotary encoder for volume and media control, an OLED display for real-time status and profile switching. Powered by a custom PCB design using a microcontroller.
A 12-key (3x4 layout) mechanical macropad powered by the Raspberry Pi Pico, featuring an OLED display, rotary encoder, and an analog potentiometer.
Designed for macro execution, volume control, layer switching, and media controls.

Macropad: common questions
What microcontroller does the Macropad use?
The Macropad is built around the RaspberryPi_Pico, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.
How big is the Macropad PCB?
The Macropad measures 77.5 × 90 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Macropad?
15 components, from 4 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Macropad design files?
From the MehmetTncr0/macropad repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Macropad design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with MehmetTncr0. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the Macropad without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
