About the LYME101 PCB

LYME101 is an open source PCB design by milar111, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a board, with 11 components from 9 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the LM318N. By type, the board carries 4 capacitors, 2 battery holders, 2 resistors, 1 IC, 1 connector and 1 diode.

It belongs with the audio designs in this gallery.

From the project

Sending video over light by modulating an analog RCA signal through a visible laser beam.

LYME is a fully custom, free-space optical (FSO) link that transmits a real-time analog video signal across open air on a modulated laser beam. Instead of sending digital bits, the laser's brightness is amplitude-modulated to follow a standard Composite Video (CVBS) waveform, proving that basic analog hardware — a single transistor on the transmit side and one op-amp on the receive side — can carry the ~5 MHz of bandwidth that live video demands.
