About the Megahub PCB
Megahub is an open source ESP32 PCB design by mirkosertic, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 97.5 × 96.7 mm, with 26 components from 18 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the ESP32DevKit, from the ESP32 family. By type, the board carries 8 connectors, 4 resistors and 1 IC.
It belongs with the iot & wireless, robotics & motion and sensors designs in this gallery.
From the project
Megahub is an ESP32-based alternative hub designed for LEGO© enthusiasts and robotics builders.
Megahub is an ESP32-based experimentation platform for robotics enthusiasts and makers. It combines native support for LEGO WeDo/Powered Up devices with a web-based IDE featuring Lua scripting and Blockly visual programming. The project is fully open source and ships with hardware schematics, PCB production files, and firmware as a PlatformIO project.
- KiCad schematics: All schematics and PCB production files are available in KiCad and Gerber format - WiFi: Built-in wireless connectivity for remote control and programming - Bluetooth: Acts as a BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) server and…

Megahub: common questions
What microcontroller does the Megahub use?
The Megahub is built around the ESP32DevKit, from the ESP32 family.
How big is the Megahub PCB?
The Megahub measures 97.5 × 96.7 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Megahub?
26 components, from 18 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Megahub design files?
From the mirkosertic/Megahub repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Megahub design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with mirkosertic. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the Megahub without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug ESP32 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
