About the MP3-Player PCB

MP3-Player is an open source AVR/Arduino PCB design by Mithra806, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 98.5 × 102.5 mm, with 12 components from 10 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the Arduino_Nano_v3.x, from the AVR/Arduino family. Other key parts include the TP4056-42-ESOP8 and ER_OLEDM0.91_1x-I2C. By type, the board carries 4 switches, 3 ICs, 2 connectors, 1 module, 1 battery holder and 1 resistor.

It belongs with the audio, power & battery and displays & leds designs in this gallery.

MP3-Player: common questions

What microcontroller does the MP3-Player use?

The MP3-Player is built around the Arduino_Nano_v3.x, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the MP3-Player PCB?

The MP3-Player measures 98.5 × 102.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the MP3-Player?

12 components, from 10 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the MP3-Player design files?

From the Mithra806/MP3-Player repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the MP3-Player design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which Mithra806 chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the MP3-Player without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
