About the Dac PCB
Dac is an open source Raspberry Pi PCB design by naguirre, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 30.1 × 65.1 mm, with 23 components from 21 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the RASPBERRY_PI_2_3, from the Raspberry Pi family. Other key parts include the F1C100S, ES9023 and LP5912-3.3DRV. By type, the board carries 10 capacitors, 6 connectors, 3 ICs, 3 resistors and 1 diode.
From the project
MDS hardware based on f1c200s and esp32-c3
KiCad sources and fabrication outputs for a small network audio player board built around an Allwinner F1C200s SoC, an ESP32-C3 for Wi-Fi, NAND flash storage, an EA3036 power management IC, and an audio DAC daughter board.
The repository contains two KiCad projects: - network_player/ — the main board - dac/ — the audio DAC daughter board
References on GitHub: v1 is at commit c1560a5, v1.1 is the v1.1 tag, v2 lives on the networkplayerv2 branch. The v1jlcpcb` tag points to the JLCPCB return files for v1.

Dac: common questions
What microcontroller does the Dac use?
The Dac is built around the RASPBERRY_PI_2_3, from the Raspberry Pi family.
How big is the Dac PCB?
The Dac measures 30.1 × 65.1 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Dac?
23 components, from 21 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Dac design files?
From the naguirre/mds-hardware repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Dac design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with naguirre. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the Dac without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug Raspberry Pi firmware against it before you order a PCB.
