About the MacroPAD PCB
MacroPAD is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by natashadoan, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 60.7 × 65.2 mm, with 8 components from 3 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the XIAO-RP2040-DIP, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. By type, the board carries 5 switches, 2 diodes and 1 IC.
It belongs with the keyboards designs in this gallery.
From the project
My very first hardware project (a Hackpad)~
Here's my project: a 5-key fidget hackpad based off the starter project offered on highway. It was created as a way to learn to use Kicad and design hardware. Inside, there is a XIAO RP2040 microcontroller, 2 RGB LEDs whose colors can changes, and can be used as a stress/anxiety/boredom reliever or for functional keyboard shortcuts. The case is made of 2 parts: a bottom and a top, with the top having hole cutouts for the 5 keys.

MacroPAD: common questions
What microcontroller does the MacroPAD use?
The MacroPAD is built around the XIAO-RP2040-DIP, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.
How big is the MacroPAD PCB?
The MacroPAD measures 60.7 × 65.2 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the MacroPAD?
8 components, from 3 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the MacroPAD design files?
From the natashadoan/macroPAD repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the MacroPAD design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with natashadoan. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the MacroPAD without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
