About the BalancerREF OptHead PCB

BalancerREF OptHead is an open source PCB design by natehorst240-sketch, published on GitHub. It is a 4-layer board measuring 25 × 50 mm, with 24 components from 19 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the TS3021IYLT and TLV9062IDR. By type, the board carries 12 resistors, 6 capacitors, 2 ICs, 1 transistor, 1 connector and 1 diode.

It belongs with the power & battery, rf & radio and test & measurement designs in this gallery.

From the project

Hobby helicopter rotor-balancing instrumentation. KiCad 10 projects plus ESP32-S3 firmware.

Hobby helicopter rotor-balancing instrumentation. KiCad 10 projects plus ESP32-S3 firmware.

Open the projects in KiCad 10.0.3 or later. They use the KiCad 10 file format and KiCad 9 will not open them.

Both boards are routed. On the main board SYS, SYSSW, BAT and USBVBUS had been routed across In2.Cu, which is the +3V3 plane; those tracks were removed on 2026-09-18 so the plane is whole again, and those four nets were then re-routed on the outer layers (PR #7, merged with Rev G on 2026-09-19). The Rev G connections (U7 pass-through, R39) are routed too. BalancerREF/review/drc-review.rpt…
