About the Riotee SolarShield PCB

Riotee SolarShield is an open source PCB design by NessieCircuits, published on GitHub under the CERN-OHL-W-2.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 55.9 × 25.4 mm, with 7 components from 4 distinct parts.

By type, the board carries 2 connectors and 1 switch.

It belongs with the power & battery and dev boards & breakouts designs in this gallery.

From the project

The solar shield plugs into the headers of the Riotee board. It has four small solar cells and a sliding switch to selectively switch on one, three, or all solar cells. This way you can experiment and see which configuration works best under the given light conditions.
