About the Ninjaboard PCB

Ninjaboard is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by Ninjadude01, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 48.8 × 88 mm, with 13 components from 4 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the XIAO-RP2040-DIP, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. By type, the board carries 4 switches, 4 diodes, 4 resistors and 1 IC.

From the project

hi

My project is a custom PCB controller board! How it works is that a random LED will light up, and you have to press the corresponding keyboard switch in less than one second. This will continue untill you lose, and once you do, the LED's do a fun game over sequence. I decided to make this project because I have never make a PCB controller before, and I always love trying new things. Another reason I chose this project is because I am interested in hardware, however I haven't done much of that up until I head about Stasis, so I am really glad to have gotten an oppertunity to do things that I…

Ninjaboard: common questions

What microcontroller does the Ninjaboard use?

The Ninjaboard is built around the XIAO-RP2040-DIP, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.

How big is the Ninjaboard PCB?

The Ninjaboard measures 48.8 × 88 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Ninjaboard?

13 components, from 4 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Ninjaboard design files?

From the Ninjadude01/Ninjaboard repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Ninjaboard design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with Ninjadude01. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Ninjaboard without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
