About the Fm receiver PCB
Fm receiver is an open source RP2040/RP2350 PCB design by NishthaSharma-22, published on GitHub. It is a 2-layer board measuring 82.5 × 36 mm, with 16 components from 12 distinct parts.
Its main chip is the XIAO-RP2040-DIP, from the RP2040/RP2350 family. Other key parts include the RDA5807MRRD-102V2.0 and TDA2822NBD. By type, the board carries 5 capacitors, 4 resistors, 3 ICs, 3 connectors and 1 switch.
It belongs with the audio designs in this gallery.
From the project
a small FM receiver built around the RDA5807, running on a Xiao RP2040, with a TDA2822 amp driving external 1W speakers. volume is analog (pots on the amp inputs), tuning/seek is handled in firmware via a button.

CircuitPython, lives in src/firmware/. uses a modified rda5807.py driver - button press seeks up, hold seeks down, volume is hardware (pots), not firmware.

Fm receiver: common questions
What microcontroller does the Fm receiver use?
The Fm receiver is built around the XIAO-RP2040-DIP, from the RP2040/RP2350 family.
How big is the Fm receiver PCB?
The Fm receiver measures 82.5 × 36 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.
How many components are on the Fm receiver?
16 components, from 12 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.
Where can I download the Fm receiver design files?
From the NishthaSharma-22/fm-receiver repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.
Can I use the Fm receiver design in my own project?
The repository has no license, so all rights stay with NishthaSharma-22. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.
Can I test firmware for the Fm receiver without the hardware?
Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RP2040/RP2350 firmware against it before you order a PCB.
