OPSUM - The Open PSU Meter project

This folder hosts electrical and manufacturing design assets for the OPSUM PCB.

- The OPSUM PCB was designed entirely using the KiCad v10.0 EDA software.

1. Login to JLCPCB and click the Get Instant Quote button 2. Click "Add gerber file" and upload the Gerber .zip archive 3. Layers count and PCB size will be both autodetected from the Gerber files. You can leave all settings as they are. Optionally, you may prefer setting Surface Finish to LeadFree HASL, but the default will do just fine 4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and enable the PCB Assembly toggle. Keep the default values there…

Opsum: common questions

How big is the Opsum PCB?

The Opsum measures 80 × 50 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Opsum?

41 components, from 20 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Opsum design files?

From the nitefood/opsum repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout, the schematic and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Opsum design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which nitefood chose for the repository.
