About the Coinmatrix PCB

Coinmatrix is an open source RISC-V PCB design by olell, published on GitHub under the MIT license. It is a 4-layer board measuring 34.8 × 25.2 mm, with 63 components from 4 distinct parts.

Its main chip is the CH32V003FxUx, from the RISC-V family. By type, the board carries 60 diodes, 1 IC and 1 capacitor.

It belongs with the displays & leds designs in this gallery.

Coinmatrix: common questions

What microcontroller does the Coinmatrix use?

The Coinmatrix is built around the CH32V003FxUx, from the RISC-V family.

How big is the Coinmatrix PCB?

The Coinmatrix measures 34.8 × 25.2 mm, has 4 copper layers and is 0.8 mm thick.

How many components are on the Coinmatrix?

63 components, from 4 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Coinmatrix design files?

From the olell/CoinMatrix repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Coinmatrix design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its MIT license, which olell chose for the repository.

Can I test firmware for the Coinmatrix without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug RISC-V firmware against it before you order a PCB.
