The projects/ directory will house projects that are under active and volatile development. This will include things like advanced research projects that won't make it onto the vehicle during the current season, as well as projects that are parallel to the car, like the HIL system.

Once a car-related project has matured enough, it will be moved into the vehicle/ directory, where development may continue to integrate it into the vehicle of the season.

Telemetry Core V0: common questions

What microcontroller does the Telemetry Core V0 use?

The Telemetry Core V0 is built around the ATMEGA16M1-AU-ND, from the AVR/Arduino family.

How big is the Telemetry Core V0 PCB?

The Telemetry Core V0 measures 76.2 × 63.5 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Telemetry Core V0?

57 components, from 36 distinct parts. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Telemetry Core V0 design files?

From the olin-electric-motorsports/olin-electric-motorsports repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the schematic; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Telemetry Core V0 design in my own project?

The repository has no license, so all rights stay with olin-electric-motorsports. Use it as a reference, and ask the author before reusing the design.

Can I test firmware for the Telemetry Core V0 without the hardware?

Yes. HardLabs builds a simulation of the board from its netlist and BOM, so you can run and debug AVR/Arduino firmware against it before you order a PCB.
