Mechanical documents of the sailboat - Electronic Board and 3D Parts

This repository lists all the mechanical documents of the sailboat - Electronic Board and 3D Parts. It is used in conjunction with the Arduino Repository and the Raspberry Pi Repository. This project was done by Ulysse Vautier for his PhD in Autonomous Sailboat Navigation System at the University of Plymouth.

A complete tutorial is available on the wiki.

The goal of such a project is to make an affordable, accessible and expandable control box to transform a RC sailboat into an autonomous Sailboat easily. The control box costs £86 to make. Once connected to the different sensors and…

Arduino Interface: common questions

How big is the Arduino Interface PCB?

The Arduino Interface measures 68.6 × 99.7 mm, has 2 copper layers and is 1.6 mm thick.

How many components are on the Arduino Interface?

53 components, from 22 distinct parts, with part numbers taken from the project's own BOM. The full bill of materials is listed on this page.

Where can I download the Arduino Interface design files?

From the Plymouth-Sailboat/Sailboat-Meca repository on GitHub, which has the KiCad layout and the BOM; the links under Design files point to each one.

Can I use the Arduino Interface design in my own project?

Yes, under the terms of its GPL-3.0 license, which Plymouth-Sailboat chose for the repository.
