About the PolyVent SPI Controller PCB

PolyVent SPI Controller is an open source PCB design by PubInv, published on GitHub under the AGPL-3.0 license. It is a 2-layer board measuring 100 × 80 mm, with 76 components from 31 distinct parts.

Other key parts include the LM2596 DC-DC Buck Converter Step Down Module. By type, the board carries 28 resistors, 12 test points, 9 capacitors, 6 transistors, 5 connectors and 3 fuses.

It belongs with the power & battery designs in this gallery.

From the project

A general purpose alarm device (with software) as a module for medical devices (and others)

This is a branch with code changes useful for testing the with the PolyVent.

1. We discovered there is a BUILTIN LED load on the CLK line. This is a problem specific to the Arduino UNO architecture which we (mostly) copied. It can be solved in rework be desoldering restor R103 on the GPAD (NOT the PolyVent SPI card. 2. The code TESTPOLYVENTLINES is a very SIMPLE test script for transmitting a SINGLE BYTE. It can be loaded on to the PolyVent Architecture to remove all dependence on the (somewhat complicated) VentOS code and test the transmission of SPI through the PolyVent, back plane…
